Elsbeth Pancrazi's poem about the city
resembling an anthill

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 12:30 – 2:00 p.m.
Are you a young poet? Want to write, edit, arrange, polish, and organize your poems into a beautiful book you make with your own hands? Papercuts is a four-week lunchtime workshop especially for you.
Create and publish a
collection of poetry this summer. Meet other young poets, gain
insight from one another and from instructor Derrick Weston Brown, revise
old poems and create new.
Then transform
your poetry into a beautiful, handbound chapbook, a
pocket-sized book of poems that has a rich tradition in the poetry world. Learn
its history and its how-to’s from visiting local poets and experts, and leave
the workshop with five copies of your own original book.
The workshop will culminate in a
special launch and reception of participants’ chapbook publications at Busboys
and Poets Restaurant & Bookstore or on the campus of Emerson
Preparatory School.
