Ravi Kumar, Valedictorian '10 (now at Harvey Mudd College)

Emerson Preparatory School is a small, independent high school in Washington, D.C. Located in Dupont Circle, Emerson offers an academically focused block schedule taught in classrooms with a 7:1 average student-to-teacher ratio.

Eleven of our twelve faculty have advanced degrees or substantial work toward a master's degree or better. Our talented teachers lead small, discussion- based classes that focus on critical thinking and college preparatory skills.
